Every four minutes, a young person in the UK faces the terrifying prospect of homelessness.
Tonight thousands of young people will sleep rough or in unsafe places frightened, alone, and at risk of violence and exploitation. No young person should face a night like this.
But with compassion and action, things can change.
Our Nightstop service is an emergency accommodation network that relies on trained and vetted volunteers across the country. These hosts open their homes – and their hearts – to young people in crisis, offering a safe bed for the night and a lifeline of hope.
Your support helps ensure that when a young person has nowhere else to turn, there is someone who cares and a warm welcome for them.
Our work is inspired by the teachings of St Vincent de Paul, who lived his faith through service to those most in need.
His vision of compassion, dignity, and practical action continues to guide our work today as we help young people move out of homelessness and towards a brighter future.
Family breakdown is the leading cause of youth homelessness. That’s why we work to prevent problems reaching a crisis point by:

The work of Depaul UK is only possible thanks to the compassion and generosity of supporters.
With your support, fear can become hope for a young person facing homelessness tonight.

Sofia knows what it’s like to be excluded for who you are. Forced to leave home after coming out as Trans, she found herself without support, safety, or stability. Today, with support from Depaul UK, she’s not just rebuilding her life – she’s helping shape how we support other young LGBTQ+ people in our services. Donate to help others like Sofia.
Alex was abused as a child. He escaped and ended up sleeping on the streets. Thankfully, he found Nightstop. With our staff's help, Alex was able to find a place to live in supported accomodation. Donate to help others like Alex.
For the first time in her life, Ellen feels safe – and proud. After years of instability, abuse, and constant moves, she’s found not just a roof over her head, but a community that values her voice. From joining a band to helping shape services for others, Ellen is proof that even the most turbulent beginnings don’t have to define the ending. Donate to help others like Ellen.
